GOVERNING MTA
Mason Transit Authority is governed by a ten (10) member Board of Directors, of which there are nine (9) voting members and one (1) non-voting member.
The Authority consists of:
- Three (3) elected members representing Mason County;
- One (1) elected member representing the City of Shelton Council;
- Five (5) members who shall be elected officials selected by the Mason County Commissioners with the goal of seeking equal voting representation among the County Commissioner Districts; and
- One (1) union member (non-voting) representing the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District Lodge 160
The Authority sets policy and direction for the agency.

The Mason Transit Authority holds its regular meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. These meetings are open to the public.
