Mason Transit Can Get You There
Routed Service - Scheduled service going to the same places at the same time on a regular basis.
Route Deviation - Allows a limited distance deviation off of the regular bus route for those who experience difficulty getting to bus stops. Available on most routes depending on road conditions. Please call the Customer Service Center a minimum of two (2) hours in advance for this service.
Dial-A-Ride - Service is available for customers who experience difficulty using regular routed service. There are no eligibility requirements. Anyone wanting the service can ride.
ZONE Routes - Dial-A-Ride service that is limited to a geographic area and may be limited to time of day or day of week. This service can help you make connections to the regular routes.
Supplemental Service to Hoodsport and Kamilche - Shelton School District operates as Mason Transit to provide two deviated Zone Routes serving residents to the North of Hoodsport and to the South to Kamilche Monday through Friday. Call the Customer Service Center in advance to request a ride or for additional information.
Regional Connections - Scheduled connections made at the Olympia Transit Center, the Bremerton Transportation Center, and the Brinnon Store which, in turn provide access to ferries, AMTRAK and Greyhound service plus neighboring transit systems.
Squaxin Island Tribal Bus Service - This service operates Monday through Friday on the reservation with connections to Mason Transit at the Kamilche Transit Center just off Hwy 101.
Worker/Driver - Express routed service to and from PSNS for day shifts. Starts in Shelton, Grapeview and Belfair.
Holidays - Mason Transit is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day (observed), Memorial Day (observed), Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Regular service will operate on all other holidays, unless otherwise announced.
Weather - Severe weather or road conditions may delay or disrupt service. Call the Customer Service Center for the latest information.
Transit Watch
When it comes to safety, Mason Transit can always use an extra pair of eyes. Look around. Be aware. If something doesn't look right, let us know. Mason Transit Watch invites you to be the "eyes and ears" of our local transit system. Contact the driver or the Customer Service Center to report any suspicious items or activity.
Lost and Found
If you lose an item on the bus, call the Business Office. Every effort is made to return wallets, purses and medications as soon as possible using information in or on the item. All other found items can be picked up the next day after 10 AM. Please call before you come to make sure we've found your lost item. Mason Transit is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
