VANPOOL / CARPOOL
We are accepting calls from commuters interested in vanpooling or carpooling to areas outside Mason County, such as Bremerton (including PSNS), Olympia, Tacoma and other destinations.
Vanpools offer tremendous savings over the cost of commuting alone--the typical vanpooler saves more than $3,000 a year. Mason Transit's Vanpool Coordinator, with the assistance of RideShareOnline.com, can help locate commuters who want to start or join a vanpool.
If we do not have space available on the vanpool route best suited to your needs, we will be happy to place your name on a waiting list. Our fleet of vans is growing in direct relation to public demand. You might consider putting together a pool from among your co-workers who commute from Mason County. On a 12 passenger van, six or more registered daily riders constitutes the number needed to form a new vanpool. The monthly cost per rider is pro-rated, based on registered ridership.
Mason Transit serves as a central clearinghouse of names/phone numbers of those wishing to participate in carpooling. We will be happy to add yours to our list.
